Would you like to host a student from China for two weeks this summer? 70 Chinese students, grade 4 to 11, are attending ELP Summer Camp at Oak Point Intermediate School in Eden Prairie from Monday, July 23, 2007 to Thursday August 2, 2007 Your child or children can attend the Camp free when you host one or two students You can also host a student or two if your children are all grown up

NOTE: ●The Chinese students are currently attending Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School and this will be their first visit to Minnesota. ● Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School is the best private school in Beijing, China. (www.bjfles.com) It is a grade 1-12 boarding school with 2,300 students. ●A group of Creek Valley Elementary School and Countryside Elementary School teachers and families have visited the Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Experimental School during the spring break. ● The Summer Camp is to let students from China learn about American culture, people, English, and ways of life in Minnesota. It also offers American students and their families an opportunity to make Chinese friends and to learn about China and Chinese culture. ● The Chinese students will be arriving in Minnesota on Saturday, July 21, 2007 and leaving on Saturday, August 4, 2007 ● The host family orientation will be held at Valley View Middle School on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 5 to 6 p.m. ● ELP Summer Camp is organized by ELP International Exchange & Learning Programs located in Eagan, Minnesota (www.elp-world.org) ELP has organized school exchange visits between Creek Valley Elementary School and Beijing Primary School in the last three years. ELP also sponsored Edina and Eden Prairie educators visiting schools and teacher¡¦s colleges in China and Taiwan in 2003.
