Letter of Acceptance!!

We got LOA today... YEA!! Another step in the long long road to China!!  Next we file our I800 and wait for a few more steps.. Article 5 then finally Travel Approval... sadly, we are not likely to travel until December (no matter what) and NOW we are told we may not even be staying where we hoped to stay..

Can any area of my life be predictable, settled and smooth???

We were hoping to stay in guangzhou at the Garden Hotel... but now we found out that the para Asian games will be in GZ after the Asian Games and so - we don't know when we will travel or where we will stay! boo!

Congratulations!! I hope it works out for you to travel sooner rather than later! We are on day 31 of waiting for LOA, crazy times with so much going on over there in the fall!

Hooray!!! And nope...life is by nature not predictable, settled, or smooth. But then you know that...that's what makes it interesting. :) Hoping you get to your girl ASAP...

Is your agency telling you December? We are hoping late October (we got LOA same day as you). Don't the Asian games start in mid November? I am hoping we may be able to sneak in before they begin. Hoping to stay at the Garden as well.

Joan - the Asian Games commence 11/5 - with athletes arriving on the heels of the trade show.. and last till 11/27... still I think it might be possible to sneak in 11/27 and get out before Para-Asian games 12/12. Would really like to have our little on home for holidays and get settled before school starts up in January. But we will see!!

Missy, I have followed your posts on different yahoo groups since before you brought your first daughter home and when we were both waiting for referrals for so many long months. You once wrote me a very encouraging e-mail that I greatly appreciated.

I enjoy reading about your family and am also a social worker originally from the same county as you.

I don't have a current blog but while waiting for our referral and during our China trip we used www.boundforchina2006.blogspot.com

Between your job, family, waiting to travel and all you probably don't have much free time, but if you are interested, take a look!
